While many of us have dreams about a owning personal Jetpack, only a few have actually built one! Glenn Martin was a young scientist, whom, at the age of 21 still had the dream of creating a Jetpack. Frustrated that no one had built one yet, he’s decided to ask why. What he found was a technology that was totally unsatisfying, a flight time of 26 seconds, and a maximum pilot weight of 65 kg. As a 100+ kilogram Kiwi who wanted to fly much longer, he decided to build one that could fly hundred times longer, 100 times higher and lift twice the weight.
The story of how this happened has intrigued and baffled engineers, scientists, and aviation experts around the world.
Glenn was the founder and director of Martin Aircraft Company.
Currently he presents on topics such as innovation and entrepreneurship and promoting innovation and technology in New Zealand.

"Glenn Martin spoke at our Zespri Conference as the gala dinner speaker. The feedback has been very positive with many delegates highlighting how ‘awesome’ the presentation was. Glenn’s pass ... keep readingion and ‘focus on your dream’ message was very evident in his presentation...it inspired our audience to do some of their own dream chasing. I would highly recommend Glenn Martin as a conference speaker." Nicky Geary, Zespri International Ltd
