Key messages from our speakers at the 2019 Celebrity Speakers showcase

The Celebrity Speakers Showcase at CINZ MEETINGS was a great success!

We had an incredible couple of jam-packed days and loved being able to have a range of our speakers share a 20-minute snippet of what they can cover in their presentations. We hope everyone left feeling inspired and full of ideas for your upcoming events!
Day one had a focus on tackling leadership and day two focused on issues around resilience.
We chose these themes as they are both prominent topic requests for us. Research we have recently commissioned reinforces this, saying that these topic areas are both key trending topics and will continue to be so for the next few years - along with future trends, technology and mental health.
To sum up, we wanted to share with a few insights from what we all learnt from our speakers over the two days:

DAY ONE

Our spectacular MC was Melodie Robinson – incredibly articulate and sharp, we loved her great wit and humour.

Lisa King spoke on both of our showcase days sharing the Eat My Lunch story and how you can have a profitable business and do good at the same time!

Dr Paul Wood shared his story of how to turn your adversity into your advantage, facing up to challenges and embracing change. Always a powerful and inspiring story.

Dr Farah Palmer shared her down to earth journey of leadership and teamwork. Always providing opportunities for others and supporting your team – when there is trust in a team, anything is possible.

Tawera Nikau left us inspired and closed day one with his messaging on how core values will always guide and ground a team and lead to a winning organisation – family first, winning attitude and looking at the bigger picture.

DAY TWO

Melissa Chan-Green was our amazing MC - charming, warm and endearing. We loved the personal stories she added in about each of the speakers on the day.

Gilbert Enoka asked us all an important question; what does next level of performance look like for you and your role in your business? He showed us how to get there by always looking for "the gap" and working towards continuous improvement.

Claire Turnbull’s presentation provided us with some great tips on how to be at our peak through simple acts we can all apply in our lives. Including the importance of sleep (and how to get a good night’s sleep), good nutrition - and that by applying easy steps to make small improvements, it will make a big difference.

Liam Malone closed the day with his raw and heartfelt story of how to overcome adversity, the skill of maintaining the determination and motivation to succeed despite periods of failure and adversity.
