Experienced MC Carly Flynn has a wealth of experience both on and off the screen. A journalist, presenter and much-loved broadcaster, Carly enjoys meeting and talking with people and is passionate about her chosen career.
A former Nightline, Sunrise and 3News presenter and journalist, Carly is more recently known for her role as presenter of TV3’s flagship consumer affairs programme Target, Choice TV's Cook the Books (2015/2016) and The Healthy Food Guide (2017).
Carly gained a Bachelor of MediArts in the late 90s and has worked in the industry ever since. Working as a newsreader and radio host on a number of radio stations, she also writes on a variety of topics for newspapers and magazines, all while juggling a busy family life.
Carly currently hosts a popular weekly lifestyle show on Radio Live, Saturday Fresh, which showcases everything from the home, to parenting, travel, movies, books, health and wellbeing.
Carly has recently indulged her love of yoga and a healthy lifestyle, and now also owns and operates Positive Balance Yoga (July 2017.)
Carly's career highlights include being the first reporter on the ground after the Samoan Tsunami, reporting from there right around the world, fronting the Telethon for Kidscan which raised over a million dollars for kiwi kids, hosting Coca Cola Christmas in the Park, amongst many other notable performances. Carly was also finalist in the Best Television Presenter category at the prestigious New Zealand Film and Television Awards.
Originally from Taupo, New Zealand, Carly currently lives on Auckland’s North Shore with husband Dave and their three children Tilly, Jude and Freddie.
