Inspirational Maori Leader, Businessman and Educator.

Ancient Wisdom - Modern Solutions from The Face of New Zealand.

Ngahihi o te ra Bidois has been described as a modern day warrior. Bidois translates ancient wisdom from his Maori culture into modern solutions for today’s leaders.

Current work

Ngahi helps organisations develop their most important resource - their people.

He says, “Business is about people and developing people is my business.”

Ngahi offers pieces of wisdom from his indigenous Maori culture in an informative and inspiring manner.

He says, “I believe the most important resource in many organisations are their people. If people feel valued and are appropriately developed their continued contribution is priceless. One of our Maori proverbs outlines this: ‘He aha te mea nui?, He tangata, he tangata, he tangata’ that translates to, ‘What is the most important thing? It is people, people, people.' I help organisations to develop their people.”

Past work

Ngahi has helped many business, educational, sports and community leaders to increase their spheres of influence. He has also presented in various countries including Malaysia, Cornwall, America and England as well as conferences and seminars held throughout New Zealand.

Drawing on his own experiences, the experiences of others and lessons from ancient Maori wisdom, Ngahi will unravel truths to help people develop their own personal and professional leadership skills - no matter what their shape or size.

He has been an entrepreneur, a leader in a multinational oil company, a teacher and Head of Department in a secondary school, a lecturer, an academic adviser and as a senior manager in the tertiary education sector. He is the Chair of a number of organisations, including one valued at over over $500 million.

Ngahi has a Marketing Business degree, a post graduate diploma secondary teacher’s qualification, a tourism qualification and recently graduated with a Masters in Education with Honors from Massey University. He is the current National Speakers Association New Zealand (Auckland) 2007 Master of Ceremonies of the year and the 2007 Bright Star Speaker of the Year.

An excellent speaker with a great message, bought his book and am enjoying the read. He was perfect for our opening session, full of energy and inspiration, yet very humble at the same time. First National Real Estate

"Ngahi was absolutely the right person at the right time for our industry to hear in regards to his cultural, personal and professional story. Maori are one of our best assets to promote New Zealand and Ngahi achieved not only improving faith that this is true, but his leadership insights provided delegates with a lot of thought provoking discussion. His haka at the end with the assistance of other Te Arawa delegates was inspiring and will be long talked about for years to come."

Ngahi was the perfect man for the job. He went down brilliantly with our audience and achieved our objective for the session of inspiring people to "lift their game". His focus on leadership was particularly timely and fitted superbly with the theme of the conference. We conducted an online evaluation after the conference Ngahis name came up time and time again as a highlight!

The message Ngahi put across was exactly what we were after. He was awesome. It was an honour to have Ngahi and Carolyn there with us. The feedback received was extremely positive.
