The Fan Brigade is an award-winning musical comedy duo taking New Zealand by storm. Comprised of Huntly’s Livi Reihana and West Auckland’s Amanda Kennedy, this hilarious duo is well-established locally, and regularly delights the crowds at Auckland’s Classic Comedy Club and a range of other comedy and corporate events.
Their solo shows in the New Zealand International Comedy Festival are wildly popular and sell out early every year.
Awards: In 2018 their show Feminazi Bitches won the Director’s Choice Award, and their 2016 debut show won Best Newcomer. They have also been nominated for a range of awards in the the annual NZ Comedy Guild Awards, including Comic Originality, Best Female Comedian, and Best Newcomer.
Television and stage :
Appearances include TV3’s 7 Days, The Project, AotearoHA!, TVNZ’s The Cafe, and the 2018 and 2017 TV3 Comedy Galas as part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. They went on to perform to sold out crowds in Wellington & Auckland (and Christchurch in 2017) for the 2017 and 2018 Comedy Gala Tour. In the subsequent 2017 Best Comedy Show on Earth national tour they dazzled audiences in 13 NZ cities from Invercargill to Whangarei. They also featured in the 2016 AMEX Queenstown Winter Festival Comedy Night & Comedy Debate.
The Fan Brigade are known in the NZ comedy industry as a highly professional and polished ‘sure thing’ comedy act, with the ability to tailor performances to audiences, and the ability to write custom songs to a brief.
