A leading exercise scientist and wellbeing advocate, Ajmol is Professor of Exercise Science at Massey University and currently serves as the International Director for the College of Health. With a career dedicated to understanding how people move, perform, and thrive, his work bridges scientific discovery with real‑world impact across communities, workplaces, and elite sport.
Ajmol’s research spans paediatric exercise science, supplementation for health and performance, workplace wellness, and sport performance, contributing to national and international conversations on how humans can live healthier, more productive lives. His ability to translate complex scientific insights into practical tools has shaped programmes that support children, athletes, and employees alike.
As Director of Imago Wellness Coaching, he partners with organisations across the globe to deliver customised online wellness coaching—empowering employees to improve their health, elevate their performance, and build long‑term wellbeing habits grounded in research.
Outside academia, Ajmol remains deeply connected to sport and community. He still laces up his boots for football—albeit at a gentler pace than in his earlier playing days—and finds joy in coaching his two young children, passing on his love of movement, teamwork, and personal development.
