Geoff Bryan has been lucky enough to spend much of his professional life getting paid for what he enjoys doing rather than working. He is best known as a long-standing television sports broadcaster, and has 35 years experience in the media.
Previous experience
A graduate of Victoria University in politics and history, he succumbed to a youthful desire to play rock music for a living with 2ZM in Wellington before moving to TVNZ in the early '80s. In his time with TVNZ, he was lucky enough to travel the world to major sporting events, including eight Olympic Games - a mixture of Summer and Winter games - from the Seoul Games in 1988 through to Beijing in 2008.
He has covered five Commonwealth Games, numerous Rugby, Cricket and Football World Cups and a wide variety of other sports at top level.
Current work
He has seen many changes in sport and the media, but the heart of his job remains being able to relate to either the viewer or listener. These skills draw them in, and add value, to what they are either listening to or watching.
These are the skills that Geoff brings to conferences, dinners and events. He is a polished and popular MC and speaker with the ability to suit all occasions and audiences and his understanding of a brief and his easy manner are reflected in the number of our clients who want him to come back time and again.

Geoff's contribution was invaluable to this year's Boat of the Show Awards. His "hand on the tiller" (to coin a nautical phrase) as our Master of Ceremonies was largely responsible for an Awards function that went so smoothly and enjoyably for all concerned. Geoff was absolutely LOVELY. He was so accommodating and the consummate professional. We met beforehand to run through the brief and all event details - it was clear that he likes to be as involved as possible and will take the time to tailor his performance to each gig. On the night, we had to throw quite a few curve balls at him, which he handled in stride. I was really impressed with how seamlessly he was able to pickup on changes, collaborate with the AV techs (without the need for my supervision), and make it all happen - I had nothing to worry about.
