Julia’s fascination with investigative work began while working at Harrods in London under the ownership of Mohamed Al Fayed, where an early investigation sparked a lifelong passion for uncovering the truth. After returning to New Zealand in 1996, she became the country’s first woman to own a private investigation company, helping break new ground in a traditionally male-dominated profession.
Alongside her investigative career, Julia is an internationally published author whose books have reached readers around the world. Her titles, Julia Moore PI, Infidelity: Exploding the Myths and Suddenly Single, published by Penguin and HarperCollins, have been translated into 15 languages. Drawing on decades of real-world experience, her writing explores relationships, resilience and the realities of human behaviour with honesty, insight and practicality.
More recently, Julia has expanded into documentary and television production. Through her production company, Blonde Ambition, she co-produced the acclaimed true-crime series Polk: The Trial of Philip Polkinghorne and continues to develop investigative and true-crime projects that explore the complexities of people, relationships and the pursuit of truth.
