Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Nedd Brockmann grew up on his family’s farm in Central West NSW before moving to Sydney in 2019 to work as an electrician.
Just two years into his running journey, he made headlines at 23 by becoming the fastest Australian at the time to run across the country, completing the 3,953-kilometer route from Cottesloe Beach in Perth to Bondi Beach in Sydney in an impressive 46 days and 12 hours, averaging nearly 86 kilometres daily.
Along the way, Nedd inspired thousands and raised awareness for homelessness, aiming to collect $1 million for the charity We Are Mobilise, which provides vital support for the homeless and fosters change through connection. His efforts exceeded expectations, raising over $2.5 million, which funded impactful initiatives like Australia’s first direct cash transfer program for the homeless, along with employment opportunities and ongoing support.
In 2023, he published the bestselling book “Showing Up”, sharing his insights on life, resilience, and motivation, which now has a version “Fire Up” for younger audiences.
Nedd also launched Nedd’s Milk, a chocolate milk company that donates a portion of its profits to Mobilise with each sale.
On October 2024, Nedd launched Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge, which involved two key parts. The first was Nedd completing an extraordinary challenge by running 1,000 miles (1,600 km) around the Sydney Olympic Park athletics track in just 12 days. He became the second fastest Australian ever to do this, and is in the top ten in the world. He run was streamed live on Tik Tok around the world, watched by 5 million people in over 120 different countries, and his post run wrap up video has been viewed more than 25 million times.
His efforts on the track then inspired people to do their own 10 day uncomfortable challenge and also raise money for homelessness charity We are Mobilise.
More than 25,000 people participated in their own challenge across more than 20 countries , ranging from age 4 to 81! Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge raised more than $4.9 million, coming from over 72,000 individual donations.
Nedd Brockmann doesn’t just identify as a runner; he sees physical challenges as opportunities to inspire and connect with others. He embraces each day as a gift, striving to live life fully and proving that with dedication and sacrifice, anything is achievable.
Nedd has been awarded the 2026 New South Wales Young Australian of the Year.

Keynote Presentations & In Conversation
Nedd loves to share the story of his run, but when he speaks it is much more than just a run re-cap. Nedd wants people leaving his speaking appearances ready to take on their own challenges, to push themselves, to appreciate the opportunity we all have to help others, to get comfortable being uncomfortable. His unique energy and unpolished style is refreshing in a world of ‘buttoned up’ corporate speakers and the response to his talks has been incredible.Keynote Presentations & In Conversation

Nedd Brockmann, a then 23-year-old electrician from Forbes, had a goal – to run across Australia and inspire people to do more for themselves and the homeless. Nedd’s concern for homelessness was sparked by his journey into TAFE every week where he saw too many people sleeping rough on Sydney's Eddy Avenue. He wanted to do something to highlight homelessness, its complexities and prove that it's solvable. So, in 2022, he ran from Perth’s Cottesloe Beach to Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, completing a 3,952km journey over 46 days, and becoming the fastest ever Australian to do so. Nedd raised over $2.6 million from over 37,000 individual contributors. He went on to start Nedd’s Uncomfortable challenge in 2024, and with his team, has raised over $8 million for those experiencing homelessness. He also raises funds for his charity partner, Mobilise, to change lives through innovative programs to reduce the number of people sleeping rough.Nedd Brockmann | Keynote Speaker | Saxton Speakers
