Ray Davies has been professionally sailing for over 23 years, spending the last 16 with Team New Zealand in a variety of roles including strategist, tactician, helmsman, designer and coach.
In the most recent America’s Cup, Ray worked closely with design teams to formulate the boat that won in Bermuda - working on speed and performance, creating the first foiling boat and using world leading technology and innovation to power the boat with bicycles and PlayStation controllers.
The new innovations have changed the face of sailing forever and helped modernise what is a very traditional sport.
