Entrepreneurial business executive, top selling author and the only person to have successfully rowed solo from Australia to New Zealand, Shaun Quincey is an outstanding international presenter.
Shaun has the ability to connect the lessons of extreme adventure with the daily challenges faced by organisations across the world. Shaun has succeeded in launching and growing businesses in the international market, as well as taking on one of the world's most dangerous oceans.
His epic solo Tasman voyage took 2 years of planning and 54 days of rowing in the world’s most treacherous stretches of water. Departing from Coffs Harbour, Australia, his journey included rowing into a whale, flipping end over end and spending 30 minutes trapped under his boat. He was blown backwards over 200km but eventually hit the northern tip of New Zealand's ninety mile beach. Shaun’s father, Colin is the only other person to have rowed the Tasman solo - in the other direction back in 1977. Shaun and his father still hold the world records.
Making the leap into the business world, Shaun successfully launched Transaction Services into the USA market, growing the company to be worth hundreds of millions with over 2 million customers.
He has now moved to the lightning paced world of technology startups. Shaun is the founder of Genoapay, one of the fastest growing payments companies in New Zealand. Within 6 months, the company was valued at close to 10 million dollars. In December of 2018, Genoapay was acquired by Latitude and in 2019 they successfully launched in Australia as LatitudePay. Shaun is currently the Latitude General Manager, Buy Now Pay Later.
He has raised millions in capital for various companies in New Zealand and is one of the few to experience success in the US market, as well as growing a grass roots New Zealand business.

A powerful presentation engaging over 4000+ of our delegates at the annual national convention, Shaun was one of the only speakers to receive a standing ovation.
Shaun spoke at our first ever international sales conference in Singapore, having never seen one of shaun’s presentations we were a little nervous but he delivered on all fronts and helped to gel the conference messages.
Shaun connected with our sales teams quickly and his presentation and inspirational story was a great way to refocus and recharge the regional teams.
Shaun is a real example of a modern day kiwi icon. A true kiwi bloke with an amazing humility, determination and resilience that has allowed him to overcome enormous hurdles to achieve extra ordinary goals. His many presentations to our builder clients have always been a carefully woven blend of humour, realism and adventure story. He has been so well received that we have used Shaun to present on many subsequent occasions. He quickly interprets and engages his audience to perfection, holds their attention allowing subtle messages to be delivered at just the right times and then leaves them at the end with a renewed vigour and sense of self reflection. I recommend Shaun to others without reservation.
Shaun is a hugely motivating character who has achieved a significant crossing. Shaun’s had an inspiring and engaging way of describing his journey. I have no doubt that we are only just seeing the beginning of his journey. Well done.
Shaun engaged all levels of our staff and delivered a number of subtle key messages we were looking to promote through our organisation. I would most definitely recommend him.
Shaun did a superb job - Shaun nailed all the points we discussed and has provided a great reference framework for all to reflect on when considering their businesses future advancement. We had a team debrief on Monday and everyone unanimous in agreeing what a great presentation and high to finish the conference on. We also rely on referrals, so certainly we will be promoting you to contacts and clients where possible.
I really wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Shaun. It was incredible, humorous, self-depreciating, fantastic story, but how he threaded it back to business, his current working life, this year and more importantly us as a group was so impressive. He completely nailed it, we were all hanging on his every word.
