Te Kahukura Boynton is the founder of Māori Millionaire and a passionate advocate for closing the wealth gap.
At just 18, she began sharing her journey toward financial independence on social media, documenting her learning, mindset, and mission to break intergenerational cycles of poverty. Her honest and culturally grounded storytelling quickly struck a chord, transforming a personal blog into a thriving platform and business.
Driven by a deep sense of kaupapa, she went on to publish Māori Millionaire — the first personal finance book written by a Māori author. Her influence has since rippled across the country, reaching thousands through speaking engagements and educational initiatives focused on financial literacy and abundance through a te ao Māori lens.
Her achievements have earned national and international recognition, including the United Nations Women’s Entrepreneur of the Day Award, finalist for Girls in Business Excellence in Innovation, and semi-finalist for Young New Zealander of the Year in 2025.
Today, Te Kahukura continues to create accessible, culturally resonant financial tools and resources for her community — with a mission that extends beyond money. Her kaupapa is about restoring tino rangatiratanga, reclaiming freedom, and uplifting whānau through mana-enhancing pathways to wealth and wellbeing.
