The Mermaids Dance Band are a 4-5 piece musical group featuring three female vocalists performing the best classic and Top 40 dance tunes from the 1960's to today. Each member is an experienced lead singer in their own right, and is showcased individually, as well as performing as part of the ensemble in harmony. The vocal line-up is accompanied by keyboardist Stuart Pearce, who has played keyboards on tour as part of The Rockmelons, Dragon, Chuck Berry's backing band and is also Hello Sailors keyboard player. Guitarist Dixon Nacey performs with the lineup regularly as well.

Joe Cotton is a well-known singer and personality in New Zealand, who gained national recognition as part of female recording group 'True Bliss'. Joe frequently appears in New Zealand publications and is a Morning DJ on More FM. She has been with the lineup since 2000. She won the title of "Pops Ultimate Star" on TV, as voted by the NZ public, in 2007.
Pauline Berry is a versatile singer whose credits include club residencies, 200+ commercials, backing vocalist for several TV series plus many years of experience singing on the Auckland corporate scene. She is also NZ's leading Marilyn Monroe Musical Tribute artist, which she performs around NZ at festivals, parties and corporate events.
Amber Claire is a versatile singer with a broad range of influences who went onto a recording career and Top Ten success in New Zealand. She has worked with the band on and off for more than a twelve years. Amber has performed as a support artist to: Sarah MacLaughlin, Josh Kelly and Jamie Cullum, to name just a few.
The Mermaids are able to adapt to specialised themes, musically and costume wise, such as Love Boat/Fantasy Island, Beach Party, James Bond, Hollywood, Pirate and WWII 1940-50's Andrew's Sisters style set, to name just a few.
